Money

Money is a medium of exchange that people use to buy goods and services, settle debts, and measure value. It can come in various forms, including physical currency (like coins and banknotes) and digital or electronic forms (like bank balances or cryptocurrencies). Money serves three main purposes: 1. Medium of Exchange: It is used to facilitate the exchange of goods and services, eliminating the need for bartering. 2. Unit of Account: It provides a consistent measure of value, helping people compare the worth of different goods and services. 3. Store of Value: It allows people to save or store wealth over time, maintaining its value for future use (though inflation can affect this). Money can be issued by governments (fiat money) or based on physical commodities like gold or silver (commodity money), and it can also exist in digital form, such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum).
